Awareness can lead to good choices

The earth system is diverse and complex and its parts are all connected. We humans are an increasingly influential part of the system as well as being affected by and dependent on it. Nature is our sustenance as well as our inspiration.

Ecosystem character and the way that natural forces and human activities interact with the land varies regionally. Natural resource management and environmental issues are unique in each town, county, state/province, and country. Unique in each watershed. Full rich relationships with these areas allows for robust solutions and greater quality of life from a personal and community health perspective.

Efforts to preserve ecosystem health, manage natural resources, and minimize environmental impacts, and other attempts to sustainably work with ecosystems require vision of cause and effect. Engaging our consciousness on all levels, including our spirit, can help our awareness and lead to actions that preserve the quality of natural resources for future generations. There are a number of connecting with the land techniques that we can use to more fully communicate with nature and improve our awareness of now natural systems operate. We can understand our connections to the land, environment, and natural resources; and then develop intentional relationships with the land and its resources!!!
